About Me

A very warm greeting to whoever has found their way here. A little about me: I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario) and have been in practice as such for over 15 years. I am also a clinical supervisor to other registered therapists in Ontario, CA and have been in this role for the past 5 years. Having studied philosophy, education and psychology in school, my approach to psychotherapy is heavily influenced by the knowledge that the ideas we have about ourselves, other people and the world/life in general greatly influence the way we feel and behave. With this in mind, I've always enjoyed helping people identify and audit the beliefs, stories, assumptions, expectations, fears and desires they might have.

It was years later that I began to realize that the power of intentionally thinking also applies to intentional breathing. My curiosity and personal journey with breathwork as another tool to help define and influence my mental, physical, emotional states continues to this day. Other than my own personal practice, my interest in breathing strategies has had me complete a Yoga Alliance recognized certificate for Pranayama (Breathwork) Teacher Training (Bodsphere).

My interest in starting this particular practice comes from two main sources:

First, hearing from my clients (and other therapist's reports of their own clients) that though we might learn great strategies and tools in therapy, it's often hard to implement them in our lives. Especially for the growing number of secular people who don't have religious spaces (and the communities therein) to help them stay attuned to their inner thoughts and feelings, to help them stay anchored in their values and purposes, it can be un-motivating and overwhelming to attempt such a practice on one's own.

Secondly, my own desire to stay aligned with what matters most, to stay aware of my limiting beliefs (lest they gain influence in unvisited areas of the psyche), my desire to harness the benefits of breathwork, and my desire to cultivate my ability to become present and curious through mindfulness, is where my idea for The Daily Integration came to being.
